Family Sponsorship – Parents and Grandparents

Family Sponsorship – Parents and Grandparents

The Canadian Family Sponsorship Parents and Grandparents program is an immigration program that allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come and live with them in Canada.

Sponsors must meet specific eligibility criteria, including income and relationship requirements, and agree to financially support their sponsored family members for a specific period.

Sponsored family members must also meet eligibility criteria, including medical and security checks, and may be required to provide evidence of their relationship to the sponsor.

The program has a limited number of spots available each year. Interested sponsors must submit an Interest to Sponsor form during an annual intake period, so contacting our Experts as soon as possible may help you secure an application spot on this program.

The Parents and Grandparents program offers a pathway to permanent residency for eligible sponsored family members and is designed to reunite families and promote family unity in Canada.Family Sponsorship – Parents and Grandparents

Entrepreneur Business program

Entrepreneur Business program

Most Canadian provinces have an entrepreneur\business program for candidates who generally have accumulated a few years of business management experience as owner or manager of a business.

Those programs normally require the applicants to make a business plan in a specific province that imply investing an amount from at least 200 000 $ CDN depending on the provinces and cities if invited to apply from a pool of candidates ranked by score based on their profile, e.g. age, language skills, amount to be invested, years of business experience, previous visits in the province, family already living in the province, etc.

Candidates will first enter in a pool of potential applicants and be ranked by score as previously indicated. Regularly, the province will invite to apply the highest scoring applicants for the program that leads to a work permit allowing the applicant to start the business as planned and accepted by the province authorities, operate it for 1 year and then be nominated by the province to apply for the Permanent residency (spouse and dependents children aged less than 22 may be included). You may opt to buy an existing business or create your own under certain conditions.

Those programs require the candidates to have a minimal English\French level of at least the equivalent of CLB 5 (approx. IELTS, General Exam, level 5), business work experience and net assets, legally acquired and documented of at least the equivalent of 600 000 $ CDN (spouse assets can contribute).

At the Permanent residency application, criminal and medical clearance must be provided for all admissible family members indicated above under certain conditions.

Atlantic Immigration Program

Atlantic Immigration Program

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provinces - Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.

The program is designed to attract skilled foreign workers and international graduates to fill labor market shortages in the Atlantic region.

Applicants must have a job offer from an employer in one of the Atlantic provinces, meet minimum education and language requirements, and show proof of financial stability.

The AIP includes three sub-programs: the Atlantic High-Skilled Program, the Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program, and the Atlantic International Graduate Program.

The AIP offers a pathway to permanent residency for eligible candidates, with priority processing and lower minimum requirements than federal immigration programs.

The AIP aims to increase the population, boost economic growth, and strengthen communities in the Atlantic region through immigration.

Work Permit

Work Permit

The Canadian Work Permit program allows foreign nationals to work in Canada temporarily (but may lead to permanent residence later on), either as skilled or unskilled workers, depending on their qualifications and the job offer.

Applicants must obtain a valid job offer from a Canadian employer and meet specific eligibility requirements, including education, work experience, and language proficiency.

The employer must obtain a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to prove that there are no Canadians or permanent residents available to do the job. There are also several exemptions to the LMIA requirement, such as the International Mobility Program and free trade agreements like NAFTA. Our Experts can help with this as well.

The duration of the work permit depends on the job offer, and most permits are valid for up to two years, with an option to extend.

As we explained, in some cases, work permits may also provide a pathway to permanent residency in Canada through programs like the Canadian Experience Class. The Work Permit program also includes programs for working holidays, post-graduation work permits, and intra-company transfers.

Applicants must also provide evidence of their admissibility to Canada, including a clean criminal record, medical exams, and biometric data.

The Work Permit program aims to support Canadian employers by allowing them to access international talent when necessary, while also providing foreign workers with opportunities to gain work experience in Canada.

Express Entry – Federal Skilled Workers (FSW)

Express Entry – Federal Skilled Workers (FSW)

The Canadian Express Entry - Federal Skilled Workers program, is an immigration system designed for skilled foreign workers to migrate to Canada.

Applicants provide information about their skills, education, work experience, and language proficiency, and are ranked based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which considers these factors.

The highest-ranking candidates are issued the invitations to apply for permanent residency.

Candidates must meet minimum requirements for language proficiency, education, work experience, and adaptability.

This program is highly competitive, and applicants should ensure with our Experts that they meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
Study Permit

Study Permit

A Canadian Study Permit is a document issued by the Canadian government that allows international students to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada.

To be eligible, students must have an acceptance letter from a college or university, prove they have enough money to cover tuition fees and living expenses, and provide evidence of a clear criminal record.

The permit is usually valid for the duration of the student's program of study, with the option to extend or apply for a post-graduation work permit. International students with a valid Study Permit can work part-time, up to 20 hours a week.

The program aims to attract international students to Canada, provide opportunities for cultural exchange, and support the country's economy and education sector.
